The Art of Philanthropy

07 April 2006

Just to care, to understand
a warm heart to reach out
Would some one know
was some one there
Could it be true, this life unfair

The art of philanthropy
an act of being kind
Not to put up barriers
or build a fence, without a gate
Just to know that faith wins over fate

A poet who cares
and loves one another too
Could the world exist
in knowing it was
voluntary to do

“A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another;
as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall
all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.”
John 13:34-35 KJV

a poet who cares

It is very true that life is unfair.  We as Christians are told, no commanded, to share the Gospel yet it is the one thing we do not do actively or happily.  We feel intimidated and embarassed and so on.  I can't imagine how that makes God feel.  I write for Him on many websites and I really enjoyed your poem here.  Well stated with good questions and strong points.
