Unknown summer
nudges
rapture
sizzling
aloof
wind
knocking at my door
I feel the heat
of your breath
forbidding me
to look away

whimpering
under your cynical pass
you thought you knew
with monarch watch,
of black & orange
whispering,
“you can never leave”
“you will never leave!”

fierce eyes
brushing against my cheek
slowly descending
upon hesitation
beyond maddness
beyond turning back

fear
replacing blood in my veins
crawling sensations
of sadness

“coward!”
I scream again and again
you live
in that mind that’s hungry
alive but
alone,
alone
hugging me back

while at my most vulnerable
you leaned in way to close
dragging my heart to ruination
like a pirate
you came to steal
with bouts of
leaving
tattered sails
3 years afloat
those wind chilled
angry seas…
shaving little memories
that touched my Earth’s core
hearing frenzied fervor
rocking back and forth
back and forth
in that swallowed place of long ago

His face of white, afire…golden moments
inspecting me
unlocking cages of existence
I loved the groans
that came in shattered breath
the fear
that shook my heart, my head
looking around trying to guess the stranger’s
suspicion…he was the director
hiding a grind, suffering my
entire being

The owl with grey hooded wings
swooping me
in the frosted might of darkness
two souls prompting wonder
engraved with a lover’s kiss
filled with deep distant moans
of knowing crystal silence

The place
everyone goes once
in their life
placing it’s arm
around my waist
again
telling me the truth
about feelings
about what mentions my name
then slowly moves away
chit chat things in the night
and i wonder
how they break you so
when tomorrow looks in your eyes

pathetic
marvelous
questioning love

throwing a fit of temper
hush now...sheesshhh
I shall doubt you again
and again
because
I can’t see
any other explanation
standing in line

and your
mood
is
the
only
color
I
know

chew on my faults
so that there is a reason
for the female insecurity
I love

I turned around to look once more
inbetween
the growing distance
that I left

LeeJ, this is a masterpiece I shall save to read again and again.  I'm unable to even pick out a favorite part, the entire write touches and haunts me so.  Wow!

many thanks to you both for stopping by and taking the time to read.  Wanted to post this in forum #37, but the system wouldn't allow me to, actually said there was an unsavory word within the text, which I won't repeat, but there wasn't?

strange...yes, it should be in 37.
you've probably checked with a

shame for anyone to miss it.  K

"pathetic
marvelous
questioning love"

Filled with passionate emotion, and too of the reality of having to share with another to make that insecurity possible, yet without reciprocation in even the simplest of consideration.

Another exceptional write, LeeJ, that goes deeper than deep.  I think it's left me feeling rather numb - raw emotion can do that, you know.  Before I go let me just say, "Wow!"

G'day LeeJ.  I've just been reading a few of your verses and you certainly have a poetic way with words and an interesting mind.
