This feeling stirs deep within I now begin to see you in a different light The sun is now rising The day chases away the night There is no more suffering Time to ease away the pain For I realize so many are worse off What makes me think I have darker rain? I can't promise That I'll never cry again Afterall that makes us human I know now though I can fight-I really can Is this what they mean When they speak of an awakening When you still feel so much deep inside Long after you've stopped shaking Dark moon be kind Let the sunshine warm my face I promise I'll be grateful I yearn to be more like her-full of such grace Two steps forward, then I fall one back That is okay though I never expected things to be easy The darkness though now isn't so black There you are Floating, just barely out of reach I think I'm beginning to understand now If I'm patient-I can hear you teach The red embers of the fire That use to burn so hot inside They are cooling off now-giving away To something more-from this awaking I can not hide "When life gives you sorrow, may you experience the spirit of laughter" |
