The overwhelming of
the process of living,
my own portfolio linked to yours,
circles darken beneath the eyes
and the light has gone out
but no one can see...

Picking up where I left off
to read of another,
warmed by candlelight and words
of a "Yesterday's Love",
until the fire's last crackle
and the temptation to sleep
pulled me under

later to awake
with memories
of you.

"Love is not blind - It sees more and not less, but because it sees more, it is willing to see less."
(Will Moss)

"Have you known the hand
that holds your light, that curving presence
glowing within your glow, around your glow,
holds back the wind that comes,
when it would gutter you down,
turn you cold in the dark?
Have you realized how close a need can be
when the candle warms the hand
against the cold and draft,
and the hand too, warms the candle?"

Some things are just good....and they warm us long afterward...
