Beauty in Boots

13 December 2005

She stands still
beauty to boots upon her feet
Her hands clasped together
to her front and side

Her dress elegant yet simple
in a fringe of lace upon black
In a lacy hem of white mid-length
as her focus meant her head looked away

The mystery of this girl in photograph
her heart shaded in quest of respect
Those eyes of beauty her shield hidden

Of such an embrace not always understood
she in care of family and employment to cater
A fish, an ocean and lake down Ontario way
God gave a miracle to
communicate with her some day

“For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft
upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by
whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God:”
Hebrews 6: 7 KJV
