I bite my tongue
Don't know what to say
I cross my fingers
and look away.
I just want to kiss you
so I don't find out too late
that you can't rely on hearts
and you can't depend on fate.
Time is slipping by
What are we waiting on?
If you're stepping aside for destiny,
the moment will be gone.
Let us no believe in soft spoken "if it's meant to be"s
Close your eyes, try no to wonder
why you're kissing me.
Alas, I'm so afraid
that, maybe, what I say isn't true...
Or... Maybe fate's relying on me...
Like I'm depending on you...

&& SHE SMiiLED ONE SECOND TOO LATE...

I do like the picture this paints. The last lines are especially effective
