Happily Ever After
Carissa LeCates

They watch her walk down the empty street,
counting every step.
She looks up just to see
how far she has left.

She smiles to herself
'cause you're so close
and you're the one
she wants the most

'cause she sees you
and it all makes sense
and she's not too dumb
and she's not too dense

And she sees nothing else
but it doesn't matter
'cause she finally got
her happily ever after

They roll their eyes
and she can't tell
that what she says,
they don't hear too well.

They look away
and they just pretend
that they know,
that they can comprehend

that she sees you
and it all makes sense
and she's not too dumb
and she's not too dense

And she sees nothing else
but it doesn't matter
'cause she finally got
her happily ever after

Her happily ever-
and they can roll their eyes
and they can look away
and they can just pretend
that they hear what we say.

And they can try real hard
but it won't get through
that you see her
and she sees you

'cause she sees you
and it all makes sense
and she's not too dumb
and she's not too dense

And she sees nothing else
but it doesn't matter
'cause she finally got
her happily ever after

&& SHE SMiiLED ONE SECOND TOO LATE...
