My heart was once crimson set of tides,
But your heart gave it a fiery flight,
With you I spent my days talking and hugging,
At night, I dreamt of being besides you,
Nothing between our souls kept us apart,

Days turned to months and the romance blossomed,
In your bosom you took me, and in my heart you lived,
Kept each other company late in the night,
Sometimes even till the morning’s first light,

I spent so many nights just dreaming of you,
The park trips and the car rides,
Driving just past the speed limit,
No rush to get home and away from you,

Then someone came along and I let you go,
Took one look at you and let you slide,
Did not know that with you left my love,
And my heart that is broken now,

Mended never and always reminding me of you,
For one last time, I looked at you,
Those hours became seconds,
You came and left as if I had never known you,

Tell me where I went wrong-
To let you go,
And let my heart tell you a lie-
That I don’t love you.

I speak insanity. I write fantasy. I sleep reality.

how sad... I hope that things go better between you ~ perhaps if you show this to her? I'm assuming that this is a story of your life - pardon me if it is not - but the feeling seems real. Writing is truly therapeutic
