In a Meadow

In a meadow by a brook
Half in real and half in dream
I sat and read a prophets book
To music from the babbling stream

It lifted me in serenade
Into a snow white passing cloud
And on my taste sweet lemonade
Around my mind a prophets shroud

It danced me in a gentle breeze
Upon a rainbows colored floor
And teased me in a gentle tease
To open up forever’s door

Its here illusion took my hand
And opened up serenity
And there I saw the timeless sand
That spilled into eternity

Its here the prophets words did still
And steer into eternals spill

Wonderful !  It seems that it was not illusion that took your hand, but that it turned loose of it and allowed Truth to be seen. The truth that there is only...bliss.
I enjoyed this, as I do all of your writings.

A meadow of winged monarchs
and bloomed out purple
withered upright
faded to periwinkle iris

I would bed with such color
bogged and drowning green
breezed with wild rose

Listened stream of riffled rocks
I am song too

I hope you don't mine my replying with my meadow poem.  I loved yours so perhaps you will love mine?

This is flawless.
and look, you've become a meter man!
I think I've been there, by that babbling brook, and had similar dreams
Exquisite, my dear friend

Lovely read!  Meadows are such peaceful things and I would hope for my eternity to be the same - just wondering how to make sure it happens.

Elizabeth,
A delight to see your name here. And yes it is a brook many have sat beside.

Your thoughts are so picturesque and soothing to ones soul.
The colors you paint are brilliant in the glaring sun
turning softer and more gentle beneath the shade.

Sy, after reading your poetry I so often come away with peace of mind.

It's all about the message you know!
