Stop and think before you write
And try to look beyond the screen
You can easily hurt my feelings
Even though I can't be seen

You and I are faceless strangers
Who share a love of poetry
And together we are united
Within this wonderful sanctuary

Please don't be quick to judge me
You don't know what I'm going through
Just show me some respect
And I'll afford the same to you

I am constantly left in awe
By the power of the written word
Such an impact can be made
That stretches far across the world

Some people come into our lives
And so quickly some may go
Each of us can make a difference
Through words typed to and fro

Encouragement and inspiration
Can go such a long way
How easy it can be
To bring joy to someone's day
