the hollow sky seashell of empty
gathers winds in her womb
and wears slippers to the ball

the backs of the ravens are but songs
that the night strums with her breezes
when they fly by the amber leaves

of pretending oaks with lazy leans
and goofy foot pretending roots
where only edges remain

pacifica is that gypsy mothering streams
giving them the breasts of horizons
to fill their scars with sand

and the panting teeth of their weeds
before her tomorrows make tears
that turn them to rivered sins

what god will be their coffee house then

Your poetry...it is as if the words are turned inside out revealing all the more beauty of words .......

As usual Dark, it was a pleasure to read. The whole poem was a gem but what really punched me in the face was "the panting teeth". I don't know where it all comes from but keep it coming. Cheers  - Ed

Your poems always catch at my breath.  They have an edge to them that makes me trip over the meaning and go back for a second look. I find myself 'reaching' to balance.  Wonderful art!

Very sad, but brilliantly worded.

You remind me of a wonderful tree
I even sat on its roots...

as if a throne.

Keep writing.
