sweet whiskey
when I bared my wrong side out
to your three fingers
of salvation

and did you water then
like an ice cube melting
into warm butter
helpless to resist the humor
of how richard rode proud

on his handsome pony
for the weavers of shrouds
that used pink string dirges
loose stitched in their patterns
so the tattoos would still show

when the movie people came
to do their news at some eleven
of how you netted another one
without even hooklineandsinkers
but with just a gothy label
