I have bathed
in your waters
and let the clouds
burst over
my nakenedness;

but your heart
is in hiding,
and this night churns
with restlessness;

the view of the harbor
finds no crown of waves,
just a flatline of apathy;

and i hold,

to the faint trail
of the foam,
that still traces
your home for me.

I loved this, I really did.

the view of the harbor
finds no crown of waves,
just a flatline of apathy;

that kind of stuck in my head.

Welcome back, inky.

This brought to mind an image of a little girl, lost in her own world, and liking it.

Hi Michele, it is soooooo good to see you again
and to read your excellent writing. I
especially loved this ending......

"and i hold,

to the faint trail
of the foam,
that still traces
your home for me."

I missed you, Sweetie.
