Did it all begin with Adam...
This need for man to categorize?
Why must we strive to label and tag
All that pass before our eyes?
Arthur's tag said...   HUMAN ...  MALE...
He was collared with all that did pertain.
It was a heavy yoke and began to choke...
So, Arthur broke his chain.
He'd felt all along that the tag was wrong...
Regardless of assumption based on form.
He set himself free of the category;
Tore off the label of "The Norm".

Most, never behold the labyrinth...
They simply see the walls.
They never think to go beyond...
Where their narrow vision falls.
They sit and say, "This is it".
Stiffled lives and Time is squandered.
The Maze of Life holds woe and strife;
For those who choose to wander.
Arthur did not choose the path he took.
But, He opted not to sit.
He would follow the trail of those gone before...
And perhaps, blaze a bit of it.

Word got out, of Arthur's venture...
Now, He would not be left alone.
The Biblicists checked their guidebook of judgement;
And gathered up their stones.
The Biblicists formed a gauntlet...
along Life's twisted maze.
With fist and tongue...their pommelling stung...
Leaving Arthur in a daze.
In frailty, he floundered.
They ignored his pleas and cries.
The ousters pressed and did not regress...
'Til the "freak" was ostracized.

They gather together, each Sunday.
They speak of "Brotherhood" and "Love";
How the courage it takes to dispell these flakes...
Can only come from God, above.
Arthur continues on his course...
By Grace, he eludes his would be slayers.
His bruises...are the rosary beads...
Upon which he says his prayers.

Wonderful!  So much essence packed into
one poem.  And 6 billion people on the planet
but only 5 percent will see beyond the walls!

A fine piece of work and thought Uriah!
