Snatched from the fire

Unsteadily she stood from kneeling,
the spotless and shining clothes
still so new and foreign as to seem
someone else's.

Fighting against defeat
and seizing on this one last moment
for a self enforced harvest,
with self-consciousness and past guilt
still weighing heavily in the air,
the voice started its accusations
          those clothes?
literally spitting the words
on the floor in front of her
          on her?

The articulation took form as his hand
gestured around the room and
speaking slowly with an assumed finality
          we all know that she
          will ... never
          deserve them
To cover his obvious pleasure,
feigned disgust slid over his tongue
with practiced deception
         shall I . . . illuminate
fingering the evidence he was ready
to present, his ISawItAll eyes
gleamed, one eyebrow raised
in haughty condemnation
          from where she has
                     . . . come?

No, rebuked the Almighty.
Repentance and Love for Me
brought her before Us.
I will not remember
from whence she has come.
Of righteous robes she
was not worthy but by the death and
resurrection of My Son
she has been redeemed and made clean.
She is forgiven. She is mine.

Snatched from the fire, but
never more radiant, tears of joy
sprung from her eyes
as her soul was sealed
with Grace and Mercy, her name
written in the Book of Life.

inspired by Zechariah 3 and this saved soul

Redeemed... Forgiven... How beautifully you've written what Love has done for us.

oh ladies, thank you...brilliancy is sometimes better than luminous and in your eyes, it feels wonderful....

I was nervous about posting, not sure why, but you have helped ease the shivers

Yes

Reality is reality

How many of reality becomes more than help and you can encompass the world but the world helps itself

Not to decide of someone you have never met what is

What you consider acceptable

I thought this was lovely and quite unexpected too. I really loved the drama of the visuals, and there was a distance kept that enhanced the theatrical flavor of this.

Not your typical scriptural interpretation and I enjoyed the difference.
