Sometimes, I wish to live no more
When days are long and bones are sore
With caustic trials of life, galore
I see no end in sight

And there you are, so close, so far
Tied to one I cannot par
This love has set my life ajar
But we cannot unite

Now this darkness claims my thought
My soul is weak and so distraught
This battle, long and hard, I’ve fought
Has taken all my might

So, I will lie amongst the many
Whom life has taken little pity
Left with nothing, no, not any
Waiting for the night.
