Between the Lines

She moves so slowly
surrounded by her unknown
the coming of
keeping her walking
through the night.

Each step a wait gain
falling on shoulders
making the dawn ache
feeling trapped.

Trying to relive herself
mirroring those younger years
only to realize
they are gone.

But she sees what she sees,
her eyes still young enough,
her mind left youthful
only...her body knows
the truth.
