You flew past the willows

~I danced under the stars~

in midnight’s mist my soul was kissed
by the sacred beauty of your mournful cry.

You are my spirit guide,

~forevermore~

the soulful cry of a lover's song
upon the shores of evermore.

And when I hear the trills and lilts,

~the cadence of your heartbeat~

I find myself in perfect peace,
enfolded within nature’s arms

one solo note within the harmony
of timeless living art.
