She weeps
for the injustice
of death.
She wails
for how it use to be
before the darkness.
She mourns
the solace found within
now gone.

Her lashes wet with regret
for bringing a traitor into her house.
Now nothing will ever be as was.
Snowball that it became.

Liar that they were
are
always will be.

Her home is dirty,
the stench of her
part
is too much

and too many are
drowning in the tears.

Keep the title...

shed the tears...

and let the light come in.

an outpouring of emotion....

In your light I learn how to love
In your beauty how to make poems
You dance inside my chest where
no one sees you and that sight becomes this art

A poem about the mistakes of so many, but it's what is done with it that counts.  You are right too many drown in the tears, so it's best to chalk it up, let it go, and simply move on and learn isn't it?  Nice write Susan.

I agree with Mysteria...you emptied your pain on the page.  Now let the light heal your heart.

Oh this aches Susan..
Keep moving forward.
Sending heart hugs.

Something tugs at me, I've no doubt of that.
Something from the sea, whichever one I'm near.
When I stray too far from beachland, it calls me back

Ouch....this hurts.  Reminds me of things I have heard about depression and its effects.  Time to open the curtains, open the windows and let the summer breeze flow in.   ....jo
