It's always difficult
to deal with petty mindsets
such as those who dole out assistance and allotments
to the temporarily needy.

For some will act as if
it all came directly
from their own pockets,
and go out of their way
to make you

crawl....
cringe...
beg......

And then there are some
who simply ask,
"How can we help you?"
and do so in such a way,
that the receiver walks away
still holding onto self-esteem and dignity.

Which one are you?
Which one do you wish
to go before in the time of need?

...but for the sake of...

shaking my head and agreeing with you Kacy,
everyone needs to be treated with dignity cuz as the saying goes you don't know where I've been unless you've walked in my shoes...

applauding you for always saying what your heart feels lady...
and such a lovely heart you have.
You make me proud to know you.
and I apologize dear gal for not being here more to read your wondeful words.

I refuse to make plans past this moment in time....

hugs to you sweetie, and hoping your hands are feeling better. We all understand and accept that you may not be able to reply as you would like to.
But I am always eternally grateful for your kindness, for your words in reply to my heartbeat.

there are times in the past few years,  even if needing help I didn't ask for it because of the reaction I would get...in fact I was taking a class on self esteem and  the others in the class thought I didn't belong there  and pretty much ignored me...just because I didn't look "downtrodden"...I actually left that class without gaining what I was there for.

but I understand what you mean~~
maybe you have to be in need at some point in your life to know the feeling of  wanting to have your "dignity"

Maureen, I have this idea...
maybe everyone who wants a job in these 'help-you-agencies' ...
should be forced to sit on the other side of that desk

once a month would be about right don't you think, to keep them in line?
