Hey... at least I spare y'all hearing my singing! LOL

You can tell me you don’t love me
You can cheat
You can deceive
You can tell me you don’t love me
But I never will believe
When I look
into
your
eyes
I know that you will never leave.

You can tell me you don’t love me
Any woman
Can take my place
You can tell me you don’t love me
But you haven’t got the grace
To look right
into
my
eyes
And tell those lies straight to my face.

You can tell me you don’t love me
You can slip
On out the door
You can tell me you don’t love me
But you’ll soon be back for more
And I’ll look
into
your
eyes
Open my arms just like before.

Ive heard your laugh...so I know you can sing
your muse just did a fine job ...
so maybe you two should call ethome and get to wailing those blues.

Awe girl, just sing!  My daughters try to shelter both their ears and eyes when I sing and dance through the house.  That doesn't stop me.

So, I say sing your song, Suthern girl, sing your song!

SEA: Hum loud enough to drown me out, wouldja please? *G* Thank you so much! *S*

LeeJ: I'm so glad you liked this... I was afraid it was too simple without the music... so your "riveting" means much to me... Thank you! *S*

Enchantress: It's got the music... just lacks a singer! LOL Thank you so much! *S*

Marge: That sounds like a grand deal to me! *S* Thank you, my friend! *S*

Toerag: Wanna bet??? LOL When I play it in my head, I hear Gaye singing it... the sound is quite different when the voice is mine. LOL Thank you so much!

GS: I think our journals have very similar chapters. *S* But to be honest... I'm not sure where this one came from... it woke me up insisting on "being." *S* Thank you!!!

Seymour: Thank you, dear friend... SMOOCH! *S*

JM: Even though I disagree that one follows the other, you make me want to hear the laughter of some of my favorite singers. *G* "Wail" is the operative term, yanno! LOL Thank you so much... and I'm game if ethome is! *G*

Midnitesun: ROFL @ gravel... I love that! LOL Okay... we'll have a choir! *G* Thank you so much! *S*

Patricia: I do... but since I sing LOUDLY when I sing the blues, I confine it to the car! *G* Thank you so much!!! *S*

I appreciate all of you for your kind comments... don't know why my muse wanted to sing through the night... but she did. LOL

suthern,

I have just enough time to comment on one poem tonight, and I love the one I chose!   It's got a great rhythm and is song many can relate to!  Hope all is going well.  Take care.  You sing and write those blues, oh so well!

I like your little experiments -- sometimes you just blossom in them! Keep trying the new stuff, but don't leave your beautiful free verse behind, eh?

.....I can't catch the tune in this one --I'm no good at that kind of thing -- so I found myself making up my own, yep!
