             in this moment

I would    steal    the starlight
from the skies
and give it to you
in order to try

to light the path
through the noir of this     emptiness
that you have cloaked
yourself in

the way that you     used to;
look into emerald eyes
so that you might see

       not what is
            but what   used to be

         before
shadows concealed
the bright of your days

      {before your heart
                           ever strayed}

           let me touch your soul

so that I might
       set your pain free
I've forgiven you
    and all I want is

                      for us      to be we.

Give me your heart
Make it real

How beautifully saddening. How similar two different lives can be. I felt that poem on a very personal level. Beautiful write!

(angel friendship hugs) There is a sweet release kind of feeling to this beautiful write, dearest friend, it is indeed full of bittersweet emotion and indeed it can be difficult to make that leap at first, but in the end there's beauty in that soft breakdown!
