The apologies severed
Deadened ears
Leaving fragments of
Unspoken ponderings

Anxieties echo inside
drowned throats
Bolstering the finality
The end to come

Illness treating sessions
Abrubtly ended
Not just on this night
But forever afterwards

The bed will sleep and dream
Half empty
As past desires have lost
All longings

Hands upon face

Quickly stop

In silent stillness

Fully ready

Waiting for
The impending change
Which is inexcusably
Long overdue

Now, the end has arrived…

Sometimes life emancipates
The slave from his master
And sometimes the slave
Has it within his heart
To forgive the master
As he walks away forever
From the only life
He has ever known

"I have gone away. The bed is cold and empty. Trees bend their boughs toward the earth. And nighttime birds float as black faces."

It's just a hunch, but I'm reading "lyrics" here. A new song?

It reads like lyric because of the great flow. It's gonna make a great tune, I can hear the changes in what ISN'T there, actually, from here:

"Waiting for
The impending change
Which is inexcusably
Long overdue"

to here:

"Now, the end has arrived…"

to here:

"Sometimes life emancipates
The slave from his master
And sometimes the slave
Has it within his heart
To forgive the master
As he walks away forever
From the only life
He has ever known"

It's great subject matter, but it's the intensity of what I hear between those stanzas that I find most intriguing. Great place for some finger-lickin pickin' solos, I'd say.

Much enjoyed m'friend. I heard music.

an end is a begining
when forgiveness
and freedom to be as one
is meant. peace not power
love not lust
growth not greed
compassion not control
joy not jelousy
encourgement not envey
trust not test
truth not tales

My spirit will rise
above the sea~
There will be no drowning
of my soul or me~

Thanks, Serenity... yes they are lyrics to a new melody I am working on, but then I have been working on quite a few melodies at this time, which there is not enough of, btw.

MGROVES... don't take this in a negative way, but if you are going to reply to my words, then comment on them, just don't post your own poetry on top of mine. I consider that rude. I don't care if you call what you have read here crap, but please comment or don't reply at all. And if you didn't mean any disrespect by posting your poem, okay then. Just in the future, please don't.
