i went outside tonight and laid under the stars
letting the memories flood my mind as i closed my eyes
somehow i could still feel your arms around me
and every once and a while i wonder
if you remember things that happened between us
or did you try to forget everything

tonight the stars fell over me again
and i remembered when you told me
to look at them if we were apart
you promised you'd be looking at them too
we've never been further away from each other
as we are in this moment
and i know you keep your promises

that very first time i ever laid in your arms
we were surrounded by the night
and i wonder sometimes if you would change anything
take back any of the times we laughed....
or when we cried.
do you ever want to erase me from your past?

tonight the constellations reminded me
of every word you said and everytime i caught your eye
of the times we held hands
of every simple memory that means so much
tonight the stars reminded me of the first time i fell in love
and the night could not have been more beautiful

sometimes i wonder if you ever look at the stars too.
and remember everything we've shared.
or do you just want it to simply remain what it is.
nothing but a distant memory that is slowly being lost among the stars.

it's not about keeping your promises, it's about following your heart

piecesofapicture,
this is an amazing poems it filled my mouth with joy and my eyes with wonder. Although it was sad it still held a sense of majesty.

Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind. Unknown
