S.A.S. Pietermaritzburg
19 December 2005

Through eery, waterway corridors
and quiet cabins
the lion fish
hunts his prey
in the murky, silent,
coralled depths,
oblivious to
the voices
that echoed there
once.

I love your poetry style, dear Owl.

This is another example showing your great talent.

Love,
Margherita

Now you know I had to go searching . . .

and D-Day . . .
Man, what a dive that would be.

I don't know if I could do it.

Good, yet use the poetry of a pause;
allow for the telling space, silence . . .

Thank you Margherita, Aenimal, Dominique-Simone, littlewing and Edward Grim.

Do you do deep-sea diving, littlewing?

Yes, John, the silence speaks the deepest, doesn't it?  But, you are the master of that.

Good poem,
wonderful responses,

a thoughtful critique...

what more could a reader wish?

Oh yes.

More, please.

No, I wish I did . . . was in Hawaii for that but nothing major . . . used to dive down to the bottoms of all the Lakes here too.

THAT was creepy . . .

Littlewing, to me, that's major!  I'd love to, but I have an inexplicable fear of putting my face below water.
