Between the Lines

Unwrapped

listening to the carols
to fill this mind with ease
to take away the sting of loss
the past of time in freeze

"rightened" all the wrongs this year
  creating life anew
but here i sit on morning's watch
  alone again, not two

a lesson seems to be in site
for when this day is through
there is no solace i can find
  here being without you

path of love seems distant still
  the future black and white
a package wrapped in foiled thought
  whose meaning loses sight

blinded by the lack of know
  the order "your domain"
leaves me, less than candles warmth
when myst has lost it's reign.

This is the opposite
of what will be...
but I'm glad for this gift,
of poetry.

Merry Christmas, Maureen.

I understand, Maureen. Presents can never replace Prescence, can they?

Merry Christmas, dear lady
