Curiosity peaks the sheets
Mounting higher, feathered layers powder white
If I looked beneath, if I did
Would you gasp the last of brooding night?
Crimson cheeks tell tale
There, beneath a Sistine veil chimes requite
Elemental winds prevail
Softly changing what is wrong to right
If I did, if I did succumb
Let the last of silence strum
Would there be a summer fetched in brilliant light?
If I find the seed, if I did indeed
Discover waiting there beneath impression pale
Dusting just away the drift of dreams
If I looked beneath, of all it seems
If I did, and stood amid a season bright
Would winter promise spring tonight?
Or hold me in snow angel arms, a bit too tight

TD, may all your cold winter nights promise warm spring morrows! ~ and deliver!

A lovely poem and whispered as softly as drifting snow.

A warm hug for you, dear snow angel!

I would give so much to be able to write

I love the way you quilt words together, Kathleen...

Merry Christmas, m'friend!
