********

snow in the treetops,
sea-smell in the air,
cold under bridges,
the wind in my hair,

footprints on the sidewalk
unvarying, even,
the constant expression
of what I believe in:

ships in the ocean,
stars in the night,
candles in windows,
and currents of light,

beauty, unhindered
by mind or by heart,
and nothing exists
that can tear me apart.

exquisite simply exquisite.
I hope to see many more of your poems grace these boards.

Abby, you know I think you are a very talented writer.  This is beautiful.  What more can I say here, except, I think you have a lot of the BIG TURKEY in you (with that last two lines) and a lot of Grandpa A with the first part....and it is all uniquely YOU!  Love you, honey......Mom

Thank you all so much! I enjoy writng very much, usually prose more than poetry, but the snowfall yesterday morning was so beautiful and peaceful that I thought it warranted a poem! I will continue to post my things here although I don't write poetry very often!

Abby...The spirit of Christmas and a person who is sure of herself have written this lovely poem together.  I'm so happy to have been able to read it!
