hypostases

sparkles of satire, in clean fun
ace-doubled, the trespasser on my back
nebula alerts, projecting challenging worlds
flashing swords above the night

minds unleashing, new tales of space & time
like women on fire with
green eyes dancing loosely on my heart
eating up bad parts, that crinkled chill
spitting out, puffs of old energy tilled

a rivaled early spring,
gently presses songbirds
in clear view…sights, sound and smell
pitching above rolling valleys with hills
like a lion with squirrel-hawk eyes
pointing north to human life

like a spring morning, greedy for gold
towering far higher then i’d seen before
wishing for young hunters of stone buildings
where a holy man rocks his hidden daughter
to the sounds of great distance & family

he teems with silver fish…like a large fireplace
on the feast night of his birth, smiling dreamy
betrothed, to spoon feeding conversations
into the minds of poor dead people

dreaming my genes in metaphoric years
despite what was written, with solid oak spears
wearing bushy white brows, of entire populations
who think about familiar forests, once in a while
but can’t remember their true feeling of home

his journey speaks in the night telling
of travelers rising from behind the sun
secrets finding routes where rivers run
uphill…
to avoid the coldness of learning letters
written from the blood of evil debtors
and those who came and died before

i thought about 3 trees, that grew and
stood the test of time, supported by a buttress
of well rounded towers, guarded with solders
& red crosses, and how they lost their balance
while looking inside, the descent of all things invisible

where the throne of powers organize dominion
in the spirit world of wings and rightful places
like a pre-incarnate sight, outside the realm
of natural cause, incomprehensible depth

beyond where i may go, but will someday live
where presence, lay hidden in a magik mirror
awaiting reflection, which now falls short
of imagination, implicit
stimulating sugar thoughts, circulating deity
unique & free from any heathen vulgarity
emphasized by earthly priests
of dogma speculation seized

and so to
to the intrinsic of nature
there in, lies divine essence
three fold suggestion of white bird

your words always, always amaze me Lee
but this part here

-----------------------------------
minds unleashing, new tales of space & time
like women on fire with
green eyes dancing loosely on my heart
eating up bad parts, that crinkled chill
spitting out, puffs of old energy tilled

now, I Know you wrote that part about me right...lol...I adored this, and the green eyes dancing loosely...
made these green eyes smile for sure!!

smiling...

sorry it took so long for me to get here, but I wanted to make sure I knew what hypostases meant, so I looked it up.

I'm very glad that I did, because as I read, I thought, each one of these stanzas could stand alone as a singular poem and yet they connect to form a satisfying whole. Then I thought that it reminded me of biblical visions, a personal book of revelations, so yep, hypostases, indeed!

and should I play the favorite line game (always difficult with you as there are always many) but this one shall reverberate with me awhile:

"wishing for young hunters of stone buildings
where a holy man rocks his hidden daughter"

Sometimes I think you trance channel poetry!

LeeJ

What a timely writing!  And yes, I looked up that word too.  You are amazing and this is so deeply the inside out of you and yes, you are beautiful!

Ok, sorry bout that . . . I love to go searching, always learning . . .

I saw in this all of the states, kind of like, from the view of the philosopher, nature and the human.  You took me through ports here and landed me right back to the beginning.

It made me think of the Trinity also, but I think I am more along the lines of Plotinus.  But you gave me much to feast on here, Lee and I thank you for that.

How you do that, I do not know, but am grateful.

You had me at “hypostases”, but this verse jumps off the page and
hits right between the eyes.
You have a beautiful talent for poetry, and philosophy, Lee J.

LeeJ, you have woven a very complex tapestry here and I am reading it again. So deep. So far, I have to agree with all the comments above.  Certainly cannot pick out a favorite verse...they are all so impeccably perfect!  Library clicked.   ....jo
