(Here's one of the very first poems I ever posted here at Passions, which relate ever too much to the feelings I have now...still waiting for my dream girl to melt into my life and cast prisms and rainbows all along lovers lane! :heat: )

Rainbow Dancer’s Lullaby
By: Noah Eaton
10/28/00

Staring out from the balcony,
as the first rain of the season
begins to fall on me,
with my hands grasped on my wrists,
tied behind my back
I look up at the silver sky,
and I wonder how far away,
the girl I'm longing for stands,
and if she's been dreaming of me.
I keep my fingers crossed,
feeling optimistic,
that it won't take
too much longer to find the one.

As I look upon the purple mountaijn majesties,
I begin to hear the attractive melody,
of a fiddle,
a tune that titillated through my ear,
as I immediately found myself
floating above the ground
and into the sky,
ascending above the mountains
and can see me flying
through a cloud of many colors,
until finally I suddenly stop,
with eyes closed,
of the stunning brilliant colors.

Opening my eyes,
I smile in delight,
to see myself floating,
on top of the world.
I raise my head and am enraptured
by the resplendent sight
of a beautiful rainbow
casted before me.
I turn my head,
noticing someone was painting
the other end of the rainbow before me,
with an aura of love and light
gleaming from his heart,
reflecting the colors of love upon the earth.

The rainbow dancer comes to me,
spreading his hues of endearment behind me,
wearing a colorful, velvet cerculean robe
with a rainbow collar and rainbow pants,
a vest of peacock feathers worn over the robe,
in which his lights shine from,
and long rainbow hair,
that flows gently,
with the music he plays and lights the sky.

He tells me he sent me here,
above the continental divide,
to meet my love,
my one true one.
He pulls out his magic fiddle,
and begins to play a soft,
lovely, acoustic tune.
The tintinnabulous melody
begins to carry me upward,
closer to the heavens,
and all a sudden,
I find myself driven to my future love.

I was standing high above,
one side of the continental divide,
and she was floating above the other side.
We looked deep into each others eyes,
and I could see she was thinking of me,
and she loves me...
just the way that I do,
and now we had finally found each other,
and we would be together forever more.

We hugged each other,
and cried in absolute joy,
and she tells me she's been longing for me,
her whole life.
I tell her of all the times
I've longed for her too,
and she smiles angelically
and reaches out to touch my face,
caressing it lightly,
gently moving her fingers
down my cheek and to my neck.
I reach my hand out to touch her face,
I gently fling her hair
from her ear and touch her.

She puts her hands around my neck,
and holds me,
and I bend over to kiss her as I hold her.
A sudden gleaming,
of kaleidoscope light,
bursts between us,
and shines across the mountains,
one palpable light,
that lovers can weave together,
and the rainbow dancer
begins to play his signature love tune
as fireworks sound off.

She holds me tight,
kissing me,
as we begin to slide down the rainbow,
satellites gliding across the sky,
illuminating the atmosphere with light,
as the love we make shines into the stars,
for now we were one,
binded together,
with the enchantment of the rainbow dancer.

We slide forever,
forever,
forever,
with my love sitting in my lap,
we were close to each others hearts,
holding each other,
we slide forever,
forever,
forever...
.
.
.
...until I wake up in the morning...

The sun was out,
it was as gold as can be,
and the clouds had disappeared.
I look out my window,
staring out at those mighty mountains.
It was all a dream,
but I know that these dreams
will eventually melt into my life,
and come true,
and I go outside again,
humming the ballad of the rainbow dancer,
in my head...

Noah, the gentle sweetness of this poem of love, is highly romantic ~ and touching.

The beauty of your rainbow ink takes my breath away! Rainbow

One day your dream girl will slide down a rainbow and into your long-awaiting arms of love!

Loving hug,
Linda
