At some point
In that liturgy
One begins to feel uneasy

Who is this priest
To determine us unworthy
Of the air we breathe

That sin
Which expands each day
Is the burden we carry
And must atone for every waking hour

While just outside
Even in winter
Equally innocent sparrows
Struggle only to find
Those innocuous little joys
As sparrows can

Through cold and snow
Under clouds or blue

Alone or together
Without harm to others
In whatever life they have

I surely do not know, but it's something to think about anyway.

Enjoyed the way you made me think.
