Where no tyranny is tolerable

0 posted 2005-11-07 05:04 AM

I sit here in this box of my own construction,
into my computer 'puting.
The empty hours pass.
I can not sleep,
and somehow feel so very lonely,
wishing I could tell someone
who might also be awake
at this ungodly hour
and maybe isn't very busy now,
could they please hold me
and listen to me moan:
Moan that I wanted
so desperately to be in church,
and see my newest friend again;
moan that I felt so very angry
when the ride I planned so carefully
insisted that I wasn't where I was and left,
and how angrily I yelled at her for saying that
and then slammed down the phone,
moaning  that now I'll have to wait another week;
moaning everything that hasn't worked this weekend
seems worse than all the best of me.
But surely this imaginary exercise,
writing this to someone who's not there,
is helping me get over it.
It is now already tomorrow,
and there is really nothing else for me to do
but leave my bed,
hit the streets,
get mixed up with clocks and petty papers,
and try all this again.

Everything happens ... or doesn't happen for a reason so they say.
Now today is a brand new day and all of us can carry on.
Good write. hugs, Chris

Dear Jaime, I can understand your moaning
but you then became pro-active and wrote about your feelings and hopefully this has helped you "get over it".

I have found that after having a day like you just had, a good day feels absolutely great!

This was a very expressive piece of writing and for a moment there, I was moaning along there with you!

Vent and write away, my friend! You always have someone on these blue pages who will listen and understand.

Love & Light,
Linda

Amigo, did you forget, I am always there with you in spirit? Unfortunately the body was at work. Yep, since I work the 'graveyard' shift then take my dear daughter out to the horse barn for her job, I wasn't even around for a phone call!
It's sad when carefully laid plans fall through. Some days life just isn't fair. But you, more than anyone else on terra firma, has taught me the arts of resiliency and patience. Did I ever tell you your my hero? Smiling at you, knowing you found a way to 'deal' with the situation. But here's a big cyber hug. ~HUG~
