I know Sunshine hates it when I won’t use proper structure, commas and the associated battlefield of planning how the reader should interpret what is writen, but sometimes it needs to flow and not be broken up by artificial mechanisms.

How many people speaking in a stilted fashion, do so in public, apart from Politicians and those too afraid to get caught to 'speak openly and not through lawyers'.

Structure is usually a garbled mass of words dressed for a single night out and displaying often one thought, and that is not yours.

Let the reader decide.

Now the words

Was it Time

Was it time when we danced on words our thoughts dancing in a mix of ‘who cares’ and ‘who tries’

Was it time waltzing as we danced those memories in red that seemed the perfect clash of fiery to tempered

Was it time when you left and maybe from then I knew time was telling me something

Am I glad it is over – what was left but my strength and will, not to give up

Was it time

Perhaps

To do so

Hope

There are I believe many sides to action

To wait
To dally
To think about it

To know that jaw, jaw
Is better than war, war

Unless

You finally know in your soul

To act

Now - while the leaves still dance on the wind
While the moon and the clouds come spinning
Will you whisper my name again?
Again...and again...

hi Dave

Your words may not be of the usual poetic structure, but there is structure.  When I read it I felt a definite rhythm and flow....and also you've structure in the repetition of the words, "was it time".  Also, poet think is poetry, and your words are certainly thought out.  Enjoyed!

I don't get to read here as much as I'd like to but am glad I caught this one because it has made me stop and ask "was it time" for many things in my life and in the outside world.  Thanks for that.
