I think things are falling..
I noticed it this morning
when the wind shook
the maple in my yard.

Each leaf made an arc
that curled all the way
from my kitchen window
to the ferns in your garden.

"Cross inspiration",  I thought,
and pinned a note to my heart.

These allusions settle me,
so I poured a cup of Chai tea
and drank to the trees.

A toast to trees to some might seem strange,
At least to those that have them not in range,
For like I they might see only grass and sky
And not notice the rainbows of trees fly,
But now they have your words to see
I thank you for this bit of poetry.

...and an inspiration to all who read your eloquent words.

As an aside, I thought you might get a kick out this. I belong to a poetry group and we meet once a month to do recitations in a local cafe. Prior to the evening of poetry, we have dinner. When I asked the waitress for a cup of Tai Chi, she darn near rolled on the floor laughing! When she regained her composure, she began doing some of the Tai Chi martial arts moves. Dang it all! I had done it again! I must write it out 100 times. "Chai tea, chai tea,..."

Loveya!
Hope you are feeling better.

Yes, I'll drink with you to the trees!  It's amazing how inspired one can be by nature provided one really looks like you did.

See Nancy Lee I was with you right up to the tea! Got anything else? 'Cause I'd like to toast with you. In fact I wish those leaves were landing in my yard.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

(does happy leaf in the breeze two-step) Awwwwwww, I was able to envision the leaf blowing from Point A to Point B like the beginning of a romantic drama film in my mind, yay! Scorpio~Yes, it would be nice to sit and sip and watch the leaves floating gently to the ground.  Thank you so much for the reply.
Hugs & Luv, Tinker.

Now - while the leaves still dance on the wind
While the moon and the clouds come spinning
Will you whisper my name again?

How could I not?

Yesterday while talking with neighbors, the wind pushed, and the leaves rained....and it was a singularly quiet Kansas moment, when the wind isn't wailing across the plains, but just pushing beauty around...and around....

the children were laughing, and scooping up leaves, showering the old folk with fun...and back to the piles....

your poem caught more...and I am always loving poets who catch more on their own...

y'know?

Yes...you haven't forgotten all of the connections.

Neither have I.
