There are days when not seeing you
is a physical shifting of balance,
a hurt that expands and constricts.

I miss looking in those eyes.
A reflection of a deep darkness;
shielding eyes from an unexpected light

I miss the way you make me laugh.
Not so much the humor behind it
but rather the thoughts that surround it
as if we are connected and it doesn’t need to be said.

I know this thing that we do,
this thing we have,
is more than most will ever understand.

I know it has been a long road.
With more bumps and stops
to go.

I know we have responsibilities
that preclude more than what is,
for the moment.

But I have learned that more isn’t less,
now isn’t always right and
instant gratification isn’t always what it could be.

There are days when not seeing you
is a physical shifting of balance,
a desire that expands and constricts.

I miss looking in those eyes.
A reflection of a once deeply
shielded soul
from unexpected light.

this is  a beautiful way of saying how much you love someone....nicely said Susan~

In your light I learn how to love
In your beauty how to make poems
You dance inside my chest where
no one sees you and that sight becomes this art

This is absolutely lovely... and going into my library...

I know this thing that we do,

is more than most will ever understand.

Oh, yes... but still... there's the missing with the knowing. *S*

This shows a heart that is so much in love. It appears that you have found your soulmate and that is the most wonderful thing that can happen to a person.

I love the tenderness in this piece..and, the flow is smooth as silk.

Excellently done...Mike :-)

Oh geez, Susan

you just reached right into my head
and grabbed my thoughts.

Yes, bonds like this will never be
broken . . . very rare indeed
and one is lucky to have even ONE.

No matter how much it hurts.

I have someone like this, and nod, sometimes I start to laugh before he even answers, because I just know what he's gonna say...

Susan,

May the moments hold you well.  Sometimes it is so hard to be patient, but it sounds like you have everything in the right perspective.

I really enjoyed reading this, and will log it into my library for future reading.
Thanks for sharing a bit of you.
