An opera
Wends its way
Across the stage

Love
Honor
Courage
All tragically settled
In a matter of hours

The curtain falls
As did the dead
Slowly with grace
And dignity
As if then finally in the end

Death itself
Could compensate
For all the lives gone wrong

John

The drama on stage
the slow warble of voice
finds death in the final curtain

When in reality
death is the beginning

.....when all it does (for this performance), is bring the curtain down because whatever actors are left have run out of script...

An excellent poem that made me ponder thoughts.
Which is a good thing....

"Death itself

very bitter words.though poetic.
