Halloween @ Lovecrafts House ( part two)

There are numerous murmurings, bumps in the night,
as all things are made ready, for them to return.
In the glimmer of watchful eyes, hid from the light,
in the shadows, unseen, oh! how fiercely they burn.

With a shiver that comes, not from Autumns' cool air,
but, the one that good reason can't explain away.
As, some part of these gathering forces slips through.
what's believed to be true, I, myself, cannot say.

Are these horrors the mind conjures forth the less real,
that they seem to inhabit a seperate plane?
If one could but pass freely between ours' and theirs',
they'd most surely be judged to have gone quite insane.

Let the murmurings grow, but, pretend not to hear.
Do not look to the shadows, nor, see their eyes glow.
Just ignore all those shivers good reason
declared
are not caused by the fact that the Autumn wind blows.

Keep thee safe in your thoughts, there exists nothing more,
than our senses reveal, that your life stay serene.
There are others of us standing guard at the door
making sure what comes through's, dressed up for Halloween !
