I’m here with you and all of them
in life’s game of seek to find
but at the outset I must say
I haven’t been offered a bribe
or promised an easy ride
to that treasure of simply “whatever”
waits at the end of the line.

Don’t be mad no route map to hand
because that’s like cheating at school
and heaven forbid an inkling, a hint,
of which mountain is best to climb
or river to cross, sea to sail,
or which star to navigate by.

Life’s merely a given circumstance
and some can’t understand why
there should be a reason, a goal to achieve,
and a fire to burn history
while searching amongst the minutes
for seconds of clarity.

A sudden thought of Torquay Bay;
where the hell is Torquay Bay?
Oh, England AND Australia
and that simply typifies life.

“Why” is a story for the insane
for they know I will go anyway
over the sea and the mountains
like a dog chasing its tail
looking for a “whatever”
I cannot hope to find …
until The End Of The Line asks,
“Why did you waste your time?”

LOL, love the spirit and spunk of this
and of course, you'll always ask yourself why, for that's the who of you.

Thank you all for the read but we can blame the late night write on ... yes, "life" that keeps me as well as can be expected under the circumstances.
