My Daily Soup

Words that spice my daily soup
Are often placed beneath a loupe
To see more clearly the consume
The flowers fed and what will bloom

Some are gentle some are kind
Some so hot they burn my rind
Some are aromatic smell
And some spice deep within the well

I’ve learned to gently savor words
Collect the ones of gentle curds
A pinch of this a pinch of that
Not too lean or not too fat

Each word should flavor savors need
Plant each sound a gentle seed
Pacify the play of way
And make for you a pleasant day

And from this ark you’ll sail the sea
And make the passage smooth for thee

You are a farmer extraordinaire! You plant the most fruitful and gentle seeds.

~ and your cooking? ~ Simply superb! Not too spicy and not too sweet!

In this season? Punkin' soup comes to mind,
and its reason, O I would find
to add some nutmeg to your spice,
and find you always, twice as nice!!!
