Between the Lines

This Week On End

I allowed the touch to penetrate the hurt,
dissolving the weight of worry
that seems to be continuous,
when the aloneness clings to my skin.

I allowed the strays to confine me
to their surroundings, the truth kept hidden
behind the smiles.

My weakness, words that rise from lips
kneading each challenge, forcing a glow
of familiarity between thoughts behind the eyes,
so sincere that even jesting...
becomes me.

I let go of the all of me, just to be,
to cradle myself in the knowledge
that I am a blink away from happiness
and that even the worst day is a good one
when I breathe life into it.

~ Hold that thought! That's the stuff that happiness is made from!

that breathe of life
from you to the world

So many lines, I adored, but I am especially happy to hear the ones above!  It sounds very optimistic!   ....jo
