where the wild flowers grow

0 posted 2005-10-15 05:38 AM

On some of these days,
I watched the leaves fall,
and accepted life as death..their
sure cycle, for it is true, even if
it does not allow the despondency
to cease.

Today I hoped
that at least
the descent was exciting,
at
least

mortality showed promise,
there is never
any certainty.

I wish I could comprehend,
or more so embrace
fate,
however it is..
but my mind is convinced
there is more.

I watch life around me writhe
in agony,
the sway of the suffering trees and
empty bodies..

All leaves
live as long as eachother,
and die the same way..

Today
I heard the moan
of a flower's solitude...

I felt the Earth ache.

"but my mind is convinced
there is more."

You'll find your poetry, and yourself...
in that very conviction

And I ache reading this melancholy write Meghan.
It is a sad time of year..even through the beauty.
But there is more....yes.

Kaoru, know what you mean.  I guess we must find hope within ourselves.  Very expressive writing...I always appreciate the depth of your thoughts.   ....jo

Oh I wish you had been with me for mine--my altar was minimal this year, but oh...

there was joy.

But then, you don't have to summon the Goddess. You have Freyja right there.

For some reason, what i used to fear in that (the uncertainty), i now have come to accept, look to almost. Just reminded me of when that changed.
