Forever In Your Heart

http://www.madisoncounty.com/bridge.html

She stood there,
arms crossed,
eyes gazing,

Into the distance,
peering at the leaves,
as they danced,

Colors of autumn,
orange dipped yellows,
falling to fates decision,

Resting upon still waters,
floating downstream,
to destinations unkown,

Her fingertips caressed,
the wooden arches,
where the note had been,

That famous note,
of love, so long ago,
she remembered,

Her mind flooded,
with happy thoughts,
of times past together,

Still the flame burned,
her lovelight glowed,
leading him safely home,

Back to the bridge,
their meeting place,
connecting her heart to his,
while loves river flowed between them,

She stood there,
arms open,
eyes deeply gazing,

Into her future,
for he had arrived,
just like he had promised.

Their love remained strong,
standing, and still beautiful,
after all these years,

Like the bridge itself...
tattered and worn...
remaining..lasting
still connecting one heart
to another, together, through time.

Love, Francesca

Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for the kind compliments

I guess you are in a hurry to go and snap some more photos with your camera...?

this was beautiful...loved it's softness and understanding tone, plus the green ness of words.

I enjoyed this read, as an afterglow of the book. Yes, I could picture Francesca thinking such thoughts.

My favorite words from a beautiful write. I've seen that light, it can carry a man a very long way. :-)

So much great imagery, as I've noticed in all your writings.
