I wish I could re-write history
so freely,
as you do;
perhaps you reference scripts,
stolen tattered hackneyed plots
worn treatments stored in dusty memory,
or outlines buried in your savage heart,
landscapes drawn in chalk
on dirty sidewalks
in the rainy season.
Oh
If I could,
would my soul still keep the art
of reason,
should I write you out completely
or further into my life of want
and need
and wanton deed?
Love and Hate
two sides of karmic coin,
and life
in its best vending mode
takes it on the edge.

icebox

I sense bitterness in this contemplative work that makes you question yourself.  As always your writing seeks truth and understanding in life.  A nobel reason to write thought, I think.

I understand.

I'm trying to decide this issue m'self--trying to decide if an old friend was ever actually a friend.

But you, sweet C, are a keeper.

That's a no brainer for me--I pity the person who would lose your affections--it would break my heart to lose your friendship.

Thank you for all of your kindness and guidance.

I love you.

I'm interrupting this thread to give my sweeet Marite a hug and kiss.

I miss you lady, and my heart is aching to come home to Pip.

"landscapes drawn in chalk

Every single line of this contains a poetic treat.  If nothing else, this person certainly has inspired some great writing.   ....jo

love this juxtaposition of words
~want and need~
~wanton deed~

(and I feel you'd place this soul further inside....)

Your "treatment" of words is fabulous ... still.  Excellent write.
