The rough sands pull at her, trying to tickle toes,
But trips instead;
So she doesn’t walk barefoot on the beach.
Tree branches try to poke at her,
Trying to grab and gore, blocking her way,
So she doesn’t stroll the forest pathways.

On the smooth sidewalk she can travel,
Her white cane sweeping, finding the way;
So it’s there she wanders.

I put sand in her hand and a flower in her hair;
She’s a traveler beyond her steps.

This is such a touching write.
Much enjoyed.

Does she know you wrote this?
I'm going to read it to her
and you'll be in trouble again.

(good write,
but can you try for a rhyme next time?)
