Brings Me Peace Of Mind

Mark the time
with another heart broken on the shelf
collect the dust of tearful years
put them in the open grave inside yourself
put your useless trust in me
you can put away your cracked China dreams in me

Stark is the time
when I'm finding you sighing in the night
with a handful of your hair
pulled for your previous love's plight
pulled him from your grip without a care
he can pull you away from me like a moon to sea

So I lose myself to time
Nashville Skyline spinning in my palm
I'm just mumbling all for you
falling into open graves inside the calm
blue evening your created for me
you can put me away in your cracked China smiling

So I lose you
and I find you again every night
and fading into the 6 AM, I'm dazed
and coffee douses my burning fright
of almost tripping on the edge of a knife
some other girl had left in my back
you patch my wounds, saving my joke of a life

I mark the time
with another heart mending on the windowsill
collecting dust and grateful tears
putting me to rest inside her cozy heart so still
put your torrid trust in me
you can put away all your time in nursing me

In a lullabye
you clumsily try
to understand my ever wandering wanting
and filling every bowl of stars with my wonder,
you take me beyond me
and leave me hungry for your haunting
of my unglued heart
she's the rain pouring on my field of columbines
and somehow it brings me peace of mind

Enjoyed the irony of the words in comparison to the title. Could not have been done more perfectly.
