They sit you down
A lay you back
Shine those bright lights
In your eyes

Then the needle
Comes out for a visit
And you ask yourself
"Can I handle this?"

They poke your gums
Five or Six times
The pressure is so much
You want to cry

Then comes the drill
And you feel
You might pass out
When they turn it on

Then it is like
They pry open your mouth
And the drill goes in
Hours on end

Next thing you know
They stick this wax stuff
Up in your mouth
That tastes so foul

And you wait
For them to make
A temporary crown
Out of it

You have the temporary in
Until the real one
Is finally done
And put in

And that is how
You get a crown

Poetry is beauty in words.

Golly gee, J, next time you should opt for this kind of crown! Crown 2

Sorry to hear that you had to go through such an ordeal ~ but it made for a cute poem!

Lovin' hugs,
Linda

You guys now had me really smiling ... that is with an "oblique smile", as I still have the anesthesia effect of my today's visit at the dentist's ... Do I ever know what you are talking about!

Empathic hugs!
Love,

Julie, I have always been deathly afraid of
going to the dentist. I did have one who was
just as afraid of dentist as I am, but he died. I
didn't mind going to him so much because he
understood my feelings.

Good to see you!!
Hugs,
Ethel
