the promise, so beautifully created
was pleasing to behold, but the promise
was born broken; crippled from birth

the promise didn’t always reach upward

but it fought downward with strength
more than human and righted itself
each time it fell

everyone smiled and cheered
and oh they did believe
in its realization

when in finality it lay
shattered one too many times
God’s mercy and love called

Come My child, come home

He reached out His arms
enfolding the broken pieces
and made them whole

Hi JB!!
It's so good to read you again!
A gentle ache to this write
with the perfectly inspirational ending.

Acceptance, m'friend...
Love, and acceptance...

It is good to see you
in growth of belief...

even though, even now,
you might say, "No, it can't
be so..."

And therein, find these arms
in hug.

Sweet Beans of Jelly ~

"Come My child, come home

He reached out His arms
enfolding the broken pieces
and made them whole"

~ Yes, your child was made whole again and is with you always.

Those lines bear repeating.

"Come My child, come home

He reached out His arms
enfolding the broken pieces
and made them whole"

~ So incredibly sad. So phenomenally poetic.

Sending you an extra warm and comforting hug,
Linda

So many are... and no amount of work by human hands can right the wrongs. *S*

This is wonderful, my friend... beautiful write!
