It's the ones you'll never capture,
though they infiltrate your heart,
the chatter of the leaves
and the peekabo the branches play,
on the tryst that echos as the wind unties,
and how the silence cuts
the thicket of the forest,
and the sycamores were never written,
to be windswept,
if but only for the moment.

Absolutely exquisite and you covered a lot of territory in such a brief piece.  It was truly dynamic description Michelle.

Inky
The connection of the human spirit with the natural world is at the base of all of my poetry...It is lovely to see that coming from a feminine perspective...

"the chatter of the leaves
and the peekabo the branches play,
on the tryst that echos as the wind unties,
and how the silence cuts
the thicket of the forest,"

Lovely indeed...content and poetic arrangement.

Especially loved the chatter of the leaves...
They speak a language all their own, don't they?
