Listen one and listen all,
It was September, best I recall,
That the pencil and blue pen,
Started bickering once again,
A petty spat, by two lightweights,
Neither one, one of the greats,
That title is reserved for me,
Who you ask, just might I be?
I am paper, here I lay,
There is not much else one can say,
Without me those loudmouth two,
Would be just sticks, one with blue goo,
The other just a graphite nub,
With a worn out eraser with which to rub,
Don’t listen to those two so whiny,
When there’s me, so slick and shiny,
People buy me by the ream,
Just add a D and I’m a dream.
Pen and pencil? You can just ignore,
I am paper, hear me roar!
