Two hearts apart in this winter time frozen stand within the ice of lies. Look! The fields bear witness, brown and dry, and the trees cry leaves into the sky. Multiplied twofold this fear of cold biting at the edges of control, a cormorant, hungry, forceful, bold, potent till the day true love unfolds. Hearts in need beg love’s return, reform, and release from pessimistic norms. Look! New life, light, truth! Magic performs this trick for men on frosty platforms. But imprisoned so in works of mind mankind bemused justifies, denies, whilst the all-time soul, the knowing wise, smiles and sighs in tandem with a lie! Helen / 9 July 2005 |

Thanks Linda and Jo for reading and for commenting. Winter days here are absolutely wonderful but the nights carry with them the chill of love lost ... until the season changes. |
